But IDK, this is annoying though and I wish I could figure out why it happens, especially since the game runs almost flawlessly otherwise. I suspect it might have something in common with another uncommon glitch where my character will teleport after flipping or coming out of a door, usually just a few feet away from where they were before, but sometimes it'll send me into the air and other times I'll randomly jump on an enemy that's half the map away without actually being next to it. Hopefully itll be a Mario Kart Wii situation where you can download software to keep playing online. Im interested in doing this at some point when Nintendo inevitably shuts down the servers for Splatoon and Mario Kart 8. I have this screenshot of what it looks like after using the Return Pipe, and it looks the same before with the exception of the background color. I think I remember a site mentioning the Zelda DS games with this, so that may be what it was talking about. I can use the Return Pipe, but the effect carries over into Flipside where there's only a solid brownish color background (though the hue gradually changes like the normal Flipside background does) and I still can't see my character or any scenery. I can't move or do anything except pause, and "Characters," "Pixls" and "Items" are greyed out. Basically the entire level disappears and I'm left with a solid-color background, even if the level used a texture for the background it'll become a single solid color when this happens, though that color will usually be one that's in the normal texture. The only issue is something I can't figure out the cause of at all, seems to happen at random (rarely thankfully) when doing normal game mechanics like flipping to/from 3D. I'm running Super Paper Mario from a file system dump (aka not from an ISO) and it runs very well for the most part.
